Homeschooling – The main objectives of this study are to examine the position of homeschooling in the Indonesian national education system, to analyze the problems faced by homeschooling, and to construct strategies and solutions in implementing homeschooling education. The method used is qualitative with an ethnographic approach. Data collection was carried out by interview, participant observation, Focus Group Discussion / FGD, and peer discussion.
Based on the political aspect of education, homeschooling has legality and is accommodated in regulations. There are different views in carrying out homeschooling. Some of the problems include the regulations that have not been fully accepted by all parties. Strategies can be carried out by conceptual or institutional development. The solution to the problem can be done by providing policies that accommodate the interests of all variants, whether single, plural or community. Homeschoolers who need recognition and equality are expected to refer to applicable policies.
